PacMan, who had been expected to fight on the back foot, came out swinging in Malaysia from the get go as he closed down the 35-year-old Argentine from round one.

The future Hall of Famer dropped Matthysse three times before securing victory.

The first came in the third round with a beautiful left uppercut, then he did it again in the fifth with a looping right hook prior to the final knockdown with another guard splitting left uppercut.

That led referee Kenny Bayless to wave off the fight as Pacquiao earned his first KO win since stopping both Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto in 2009.
