Crystal Palace ace Yohan Cabaye joins UAE side Al Nasr on two-year deal
Former France international joined on a free transfer after his contract expired at Selhurst Park
YOHAN CABAYE has joined Al Nasr from Crystal Palace on a two-year deal.
The French midfielder completed the free transfer after his contract expired at Selhurst Park.
Al Nasr revealed that Cabaye will wear the No 7 shirt as they announced the signing on Twitter.
The 32-year-old made 106 appearances in all competitions during his three-year stay with the Eagles.
He has decided to continue his career in the Middle East after he failed to agree new terms with Roy Hodgson's side.
Cabaye was one of the highest earners at Selhurst Park and they reportedly offered him reduced terms for next season.
Nasr finished fourth in the AGL last season - 16 points behind champions Al Ain.
Cabaye began his career with Lille before he signed a five-year deal with Newcastle in 2011 for an undisclosed fee.
He then completed a switch to Paris Saint-Germain, but he struggled to make it into the first team.
As a result, he returned to the Premier League with Crystal Palace in July 2015.

The Eagles finished eleventh in the top flight last term, but that wasn't enough to convince the Frenchman to stay.
Palace could also lose Andros Townsend as Newcastle continue their interest.
