The Nantwich 21-year-old took control from the off and produced a highlight real of gym combinations in the opening round.

An impressive lead left hook started off a string of attacks that Turner had little or no defence for.

A rasping uppercut slashed up and through the Irishman’s guard and was followed up by another scoring right hook from Gorman who came in with a 12-0 record.

Turner launched a rare volley but Gorman countered and fired off a string of punches on the ropes, close to his mentor who was yelling his praises.

Hatton yelled “beautiful” to his young charge and he was not wrong as a body shot and straight right had Turner in real trouble and bleeding.

The second round was plenty more of the same, with a right hook to the temple hurting Turner early on.

And seconds before the bell a thunderous punch shuddered the tubby torso of Turner and dropped the Dubliner to the deck but he clambered up to be saved by the bell.

The damage was already done, however, and Gorman refused to let the 27-year-old off in the third.

Gorman is now 13-0 with 11 inside the distance and has called out heavyweight sensation Daniel ‘Dynamite’ Dubois to decide who is Britain’s top heavyweight prospect.

Speaking after the bout, he said: "I'll happily accept the Dubois fight if it comes off next.

"We've both got the same promoter, its an easy fight to make in my eyes."
