Who is AJ Lee?
AJ LEE, real name April Jeanette Mendez, was born on March 19, 1987 in Union City, New Jersey.
She is best known for her time in WWE and is a three-time Divas Champion.
The star held the title for a record 406 days.
She rose to prominence with her “mentally unstable” character and became a huge hit with fans.
That led to her winning a Slammy Award for Diva of the Year in 2012 and 2014 and voted Woman of the Year by readers of Pro Wrestling Illustrated from 2012 to 2014.
AJ Lee retired from in-ring competition in 2015, later revealing the discovery of permanent damage to her cervical spine was the catalyst to her retirement.

Since quitting wrestling AJ decided to focus on her writing.
In April 2017 her memoirs were published. The book was called Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rule.
It proved to be a massive hit and was a New York Times best seller.
Lee has since stated that writing was “very much the next chapter” of her life and work had already begun on her second book.
In December 2017 it was confirmed that Crazy Is My Superpower was being developed into a TV series, with AJ serving as a writer and executive producer.

AJ Lee found love while competing in WWE.
She married former professional wrestler Phil Brooks, better known as CM Punk, on June 13, 2014.
Punk received a letter on his wedding confirming that he had been released by WWE.
The couple split their time between homes in Chicago, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
