50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson - started his own boxing promotion in 2012 and signed several high-profile fighters before a series of personal lawsuits prompted him to declare the company bankrupt.
Jackson – an amateur boxer before finding fame – worked with Floyd Mayweather to sign signed ex-featherweight champ Yuriorkis Gamboa and middleweight Olympic medallist Andre Dirrell.
MMA forums are rife with the rumour that Rampage Jackson could be Cent’s debut opponent.
When WWE veteran CM Punk can make the leap to UFC then this does not seem so outlandish.
