Manchester United outcast Anthony Martial ‘in advanced talks with Juventus over summer switch’
The French international's move away from Old Trafford is another step closer with Italian giants making interest clear
JUVENTUS have taken the lead in the race to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial. according to reports.
The French international's lack of starts at Old Trafford since January has led to rumours that he is set to seek a departure from the club this summer.
According to reports in the Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Manchester United and Juventus are coming closer to an agreement over the transfer of Martial as he has been looking for a way out for "months".
The 22-year-old striker moved from Monaco to United in the summer of 2015 for a fee of around £36 million potentially rising to £58 million.
Martial enjoyed a superb debut campaign in the Premier League and has netted on 11 occasions in all competitions this season.
Yet since then he has struggled to maintain his form and recently came under more pressure with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January.

Juventus are said to be in constant contact with Martial's agents as they take the lead with talks.
Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Arsenal have also not given up hope and are still looking at the wantaway forward.

Martial is said to be hoping for a World Cup call-up from France this summer but his lack of minutes could have an impact on that.
One ray of sunshine was that he did start for the Reds in their 2-0 win over Bournemouth last week.
However Mourinho is only likely to sell Martial if he was to land either Willian or Gareth Bale who have both been linked to Old Trafford in recent months.
United host Arsenal at Old Trafford tomorrow in the Premier League - a game Martial will be hoping to start.
