It was revealed yesterday that McGregor would be stripped of his lightweight title, and it would be on the line at UFC 223.

Khabib Nurmagomedov or Max Holloway will be crowned the new champ this weekend.

When that announcement was made by UFC chief Dana White, McGregor, 29, tweeted his disgust at the decision - but today he took his anger one step further.

MMA journalist Ariel Helwani posted on Twitter: "Conor McGregor and members of his team showed up at the Barclays Center at the very end of media day moments ago.

"There was an altercation with some of the departing fighters who are competing on the card.

"I’m told from people who were in the van that as the van was driving off, they started banging on the windows before security broke it all up.

"I’ve seen video shot by fighters in the van. Very clear Conor is telling someone to get out of the van before being pulled away by security. Khabib and his team were in that particular van."

McGregor was never likely to take the decision to strip him of his belt lightly and blasted on Twitter: “You’s’ll [sic] strip me of nothing you’s do nothing c***s.”

And ESPN's Brett Okamoto also tweeted how McGregor and his team "swarmed" a bus as it was trying to leave the venue.

He tweeted: “Conor McGregor stormed through Barclays, ended up in the loading dock of the arena with his entourage in tow and “swarmed” a bus that was leaving with UFC fighters and camps.

“Conor and crew were 'throwing chairs, bike racks.'"

The superstar hasn’t fought in MMA since UFC 205 in November 2016 when he defeated Eddie Alvarez to capture the lightweight title at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

White confirmed: “We’re not stripping [interim champ] Tony Ferguson. He isn’t being stripped. The only one losing a belt here is Conor. These two are fighting for the belt.

“The interim these two were supposed to fight for, fight doesn’t happen, now one of these guys will be the champion. Tony is still the number one contender.”
