After a four-year battle to win a licence to set up his new MLS franchise, it's all systems go for the former England captain

reports that Ancelotti has been sounded out to manage Miami, with former US national manager Bruce Arena and even Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as back-up options.

Ancelotti is without a club at the present time, with Beckham and the Italian forging a friendship during their time together at PSG.

Arena is also out of work after resigning as US manager in October last year after failing to guide the team to the 2018 World Cup.

Rumours continue that Cristiano Ronaldo could be nearing the end of his time at the Bernabeu, and he could conceivably earn even more than he already is in Spain by heading Stateside.

Rooney has previously spoken about finishing his stellar career playing footie in the US, although a return to boyhood club Everton might have made things more complicated.
