WHEN it comes to thriving showbiz couples, Mollie King and her fiance Stuart Broad are at the top of their game.

One is a former pop star turned TV presenter and the other is a retired England cricket hero.

Who is Stuart Broad?

Born on June 24, 1986, in Nottingham, Stuart Broad is a former England cricketer, and the son of top cricket star, Chris Broad

The sportsman started his first-class county career at Leicestershire before returning home to Nottinghamshire in 2008.

He is a seam bowler has played Test cricket for England as well captaining the One Day and Twenty20 side.

He was part of the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 winning England squad and captained the national side at the 2012 and 2014 T20 World Cups.

Broad signed for IPL giants Kings XI Punjab, but never played in India.

He also played for Aussie side Hobart Hurricanes.

However, after 17 years on the cricket field, Stuart Broad announced his retirement from the sport in 2023.

Speaking at the time of the announcement Broad said: "Yeah, tomorrow or Monday will be my last game of cricket.

"It's been a wonderful ride and a huge privilege to wear the Nottinghamshire and England badge as much as I have.

"I'm loving cricket as much as I ever have, it's been such a wonderful series to be a part of and I've always wanted to finish at the top."

At the time of his retirement, Broad held the record for the second highest wicket taker in England Test cricket with 604.

Broad's achievements include being voted the Young Cricketer Of The Year by the Cricket Writers’ Club.

In 2016, he was appointed a Member Of The Order Of The British Empire in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to cricket.

In December 2023, Broad was named in the New Year’s Honours list.

This saw him receive a CBE following his retirement from the sport.

The fast bowler has made his money from his cricket career, as well as from a pub called Tap & Run, which is located near Nottingham.

How long has he been dating Mollie King?

Broad and Mollie started dating in London in 2012, but later split.

However five years later, the couple got back together in 2018.

On January 1, 2021, Broad got down on one knee and proposed to Mollie, with the former star saying "yes".

Following the proposal, the pair welcomed daughter Annabella Broad in November 2022.

Stuart was previously romantically linked to lingerie model Bealey Mitchell, whom he dated for three years from 2014.

They split in 2017, but ended on good terms as a source revealed: “They had a good innings together but it just came to a natural end.

“There were no hard feelings between the two and no one else was involved.”

Stuart also dated Laura Coleman, who is a former Miss England winner.

He ended their ten-month relationship in February 2008, due to his cricketing commitments.

  • Taking his 600th Test wicket against Australia at Old Trafford, blitzing India with a phenomenal hat-trick.
  • Scoring 169 with the bat vs Pakistan at Lord's in 2010.
  • Taking 8-15 at Trent Bridge in the 2015 Ashes in one of the best-ever spells of bowling.
  • Taking the wicket of MS Dhoni at Trent Bridge in 2011 on route to taking 5-5 in just 5.1 overs.
  • Bagging 6-17 against then world No1-ranked South Africa in 2016, including a red-host spell of 5-1 in 31 balls.
