Chris Eubank Jr reveals he knocked a man out at the age of 15 after he was asked to reimburse him £2000 that he lost betting on his father
The British bruiser was forced to defend himself against a fully-grown man after Chris Eubank Sr lost his fight
CHRIS EUBANK JR has revealed he knocked out a man at the age of 15 after he demanded the youngster paid him £2,000.
The man was asking him to reimburse him after he lost money betting on his boxer dad Chris.
After Eubank Sr lost, the angry punter said: "I bet two grand on your father. Give me the money back."
Eubank Jr added: "He pushed me, I think he was drunk.
"So I said to him 'Listen, I don't have two grand on me and if I did I wouldn't give it you - you made a bet, get out of my face'.
"He went to push me again and made an effort to grab me, and I knocked him out."
Incidents like this were a recurring problem for the British star as he grew up, so he knew he had to make a name for himself.
He said: “I started to understand how important it was for me to make my own name pretty early on after years of noticing people treating me a certain way because of who my dad was.
EU GOT TO DO IT Chris Eubank Jr needs to 'cut umbilical cord' with dad, insists Nigel Benn
“Some people wanted to be friends, others wanted to test me because I was Chris Eubank’s son — inside schools, outside of school, on the streets.
"They learned pretty quickly that testing me was a very serious mistake.”
Eubank Jr most recently lost against George Groves in a brutal and bloody war in the World Boxing Super Series semi-final.
His father told him that he deserved to lose, but he suggested otherwise despite being comfortably beaten on the jugdes' scorecards.
He said: "I was the aggressor, I was the busier fighter.
"But he never hurt me, or had me in serious trouble. He was being bad and being negative. People saw that.
"People still look at us both and say I'm the more exciting fighter."
Groves takes on Callum Smith in the World Super Series final in July.
