MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly extended Ashley Young and Daley Blind's contracts for a year.
The pair's deals were due to run out in the summer, along with Marouane Fellaini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Michael Carrick.
But the is reporting that Young, Blind and Aston Villa loanee Sam Johnstone have been signed up until 2019 thanks to the option of an additional year.
That leaves Ibrahimovic and Fellaini up for grabs, with Michael Carrick, 36, set to join Jose Mourinho's backroom team.
Young, 32, is United's first-choice left-back ahead of Luke Shaw and is likely to see action next season even if Mourinho strengthens.
But 27-year-old Blind has played for just four minutes in the Premier League this season and Old Trafford chiefs are likely to cash in this summer.
Johnstone, 24, has been an ever-present for the Villans in their Championship promotion bid and Steve Bruce is keen to sign him on a permanent basis.

By tying the young stopper down for another year, United can hope Villa reach the Premier League and demand an inflated fee.
Fellaini, 30, looks set to leave after failing to agree a new deal and 36-year-old Ibrahimovic is unlikely to be offered fresh terms after his injury woes.
