A SCOTS footie star had to be rushed to hospital with a horrific injury after studs went into his FACE.
Livingston’s Shaun Byrne was left bloodied and bruised following a tackle on Dunfermline’s Nicky Clark.
And the midfielder had to get stitches to the large gash close to his eye.
Byrne posted a pair of graphic images on Twitter from the hospital.
The huge opening on his right cheek is so big that muscle can be seen underneath.
But the Livi star was in good form when he took to social media following his side’s 0 – 0 draw with the Pars.

He said: “Had better Saturdays! Off after 25 minutes with cut to my eye. Good point for the lads.”
Fans were quick to send their best wishes to the player after he posted the nasty looking cut on Twitter.
Livingston boss David Hopkin confirmed that Shaun had received stitches to the gash.
And he described how close the injury had come to disaster.
He said: "Shaun Byrne had to receive seven stitches to his eye.
"I think the lad landed on his face and his stud went right into his face, nearly his eye."
