ADRIAN LEWIS has escaped a ban after a furious clash with Jose Justica at the end of their UK Open Darts qualifier.
The duo had to pulled apart on the oche by stewards after Lewis shoved Justica following his 6-5 quarter-final win in Wigan.
He has been banned since the incident as the PDC debated what punishment to hit the 33-year-old from Stoke with.
And they have today confirmed that he has been hit with a three month ban - but it has been suspended for six months.
Therefore Lewis will be available to compete from now on, as long as he stays out of trouble.
His match with Justica exploded into life during the eighth leg as Lewis said: "You’re trying to p*** me off, I’m telling you” as he angrily jabbed a finger into his opponent's chest.
They continued to exchange words throughout the remainder of the game.
And that eventually led to an angry confrontation on the oche at the end after Lewis had secured his victory.
