Winter Olympics 2018 singers: Who is singing at the opening ceremony in Pyeongchang?
Fans and players alike will come together in freezing temperatures in Pyeonchang for the Games curtain raiser
THE Olympic Games just wouldn't be complete without a lavish, long and probably confusing Opening Ceremony.
But that's why we love them so much - and this year's extravaganza in Pyeongchang promises to be another memorable occasion.
Expect colour, brilliant choreography and some dodgy dance moves.
Who is singing at the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony?
DESPITE organisers best efforts to keep details of the performers secret ahead of Friday's show, there are two rumoured headline acts who are set to perform in Pyeongchang.
Korean outlet YTN Star and newspaper Korea Joongang Daily have revealed two opening-ceremony acts ahead of Friday’s curtain-raiser.
Ha Hyun Woo, lead singer of South Korean indie rock band Guckkasten, and Ahn Ji-young, one half of female K-Pop duo Bolbbalgan4 (also known as Bolbbalgan Sachungi), are both set to perform.
Rumours have also circulated that Insooni, one of South Korea’s more famous R&B divas, will likely be involved and sing the Games official song "Let Everyone Shine".
The rest of the lineup is unknown and will be revealed when the ceremony gets underway - so tune in to find out.
When is the Opening Ceremony?
THE opening ceremony will take place on Friday, February 9.
It will be held at the PyeongChang Olympic Stadium, a temporary venue for the opening and closing ceremonies.
South Korea are nine hours ahead of the UK, so the show will begin at 11am UK time.
