AMIR KHAN hurled a glass of water at April 21 opponent Phil Lo Greco after the Canadian alluded to rumours the Bolton star's wife slept with Anthony Joshua.
In one of the craziest gossip stories of 2017, the Watford IBF and WBA king was linked with Faryal Makhdoom and Lo Greco could not wait up to revisit the tall tale.
Lo Greco sparked the ugly row by referring to Khan's last fight - a concussive defeat to Canelo Alvarez - and then his troubled personal life.
He said: “The defeat by Canelo started a losing streak – then he lost his family, his wife and then he posted on Twitter telling the world heavyweight champion he could have his leftovers.”
That pushed mild-mannered Khan over the edge and he suddenly soaked his rival.
Khan later apologised - as did Lo Greco - but anyone who wears shades in Liverpool in January - INDOORS - deserves a good drenching.
Khan publicly accused Makhdoom of cheating on him as the pair endured a bitter split.
But they are now back together after the boxer apologised before his I'm a Celebrity stint.
He said he called off what was to be an explosive divorce battle for the sake of their daughter and their unborn child.
Former unified light-welterweight ruler Khan is determined to get back on the road to world title glory in his first fight of a three-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing.
He has not fought in the UK since beating Julio Diaz in Sheffield back in 2013.
And after a facing horror trials in the Australian jungle, Khan is ready to lace up the gloves once again.
Lo Greco has mixed in great company having been in with pound-for-pound ace Errol Spence and Shawn Porter, and ‘The Italian Sensation’ has got under Khan's skin for his next battle.
Khan said: “I can’t wait to get back into the ring on April 21 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.
“Phil Lo Greco will be coming with everything to win this fight and I’m not going to give him an inch."
