ARSENAL fans have resurrected their chant 'Wenger out' and have called for time on his Arsenal career.
Watching Arsenal from the stands was a painful experience for both the fans and the boss as they lost 4-2 to Championship side Nottingham Forest.
Wenger's saving grace has been that he's managed to bring the FA Cup home several times.
But after their shock defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest, Arsenal fans are calling for Wenger's head.
The club may well hold the record for the most wins of the cup, but they will not be adding to that this year- nor are they in contention for the league.
He has reached a milestone in charge, that surpassed Sir Alex Ferguson's at Manchester United, but his days may well be numbered.
Many records were broken during today's fixture, but none of them will please Wenger.
For the first time since 1908, a lower division side have scored four, or more, goals against Arsenal.
DOUBLE TROUBLE: Arsenal players furious as Nottingham Forest score penalty with double kick
It is the first time that the manager, in his 21 years at the club, has been knocked out in the FA Cup third round.
Fans may well be asking for Wenger to call it a day after the past year saw his side fail to qualify for the Champions League and get knocked out of a competition that they normally breeze through.
Following the fixture, Wenger was questioned about why he fielded a weaker team.
He said: "That's the inevitable question that comes in cup games, we have many players on the edge, we have to play again on Wednesday, we have got away with it before, but not today.
"Is it a selection problem? Maybe."
The Frenchman thought that his team were a bit unlucky but admitted that Nottingham Forest were a sharper side.
There has been trouble at the Emirates for some time, with both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil dragging out their contract renewals.
But Wenger himself managed to pen a new two-year deal last summer, after months of speculation.
Rumours are circulating that Wenger could quit and be replaced by Pep Guardiola's assistant Mikel Arteta.
