Mitchell Starc has a bruised heel and his place in the Aussie pace attack could go to Jackson Bird.

He has played eight Tests against five countries but never more than two in a row.

Bird has 278 first-class wickets at 24.30 at a strike rate of 47.3 compared to Starc’s 293 wickets at 26.06 at a strike rate of 46.4.
