Kylian Mbappe runs at 44.7kmph to score for PSG… just slower than world’s fastest man Usain Bolt when setting world 100m record
French wonder-kid turned on the burners clocking in at just under an incredible 45 kilometres per hour at one point
KYLIAN MBAPPE almost ran faster than the quickest man on the earth yesterday during PSG's 3-1 win over Lille.
The whizzkid stole in to score Paris' third goal in their emphatic victory but the talking point was just how fast Mbappe was travelling.
That comes close to the fastest man in the world - Usain Bolt - who averaged 37.5kpmh when he set the world record in the 100m.
Converted to the British standard, that top speed equals 27.7mph, which is a pretty unbelievable pace for a human to be moving at.
Mbappe has been on fire for Paris Saint-Germain since joining from fellow French club Monaco on loan.
The youngster has six goals from 13 league appearences and four in six in the Champions League, proving his miraculous form last year wasn't a fluke.
Although he is technically on loan, the deal says that Paris will pay £160m for him next season, to avoid FFP sanctions.
The 18-year-old completes the tremendous trio with Edinson Cavani and Neymar, who look an unstoppable force - nine points clear of Lyon in Ligue 1.
