WWE icon CM Punk to hold crunch talks over a potential comeback fight this weekend with UFC chief Dana White
CM PUNK has a huge meeting over his future this weekend - but unfortunately for WWE fans it will be over a potential return to UFC.
The five-time WWE world champion, real name Philip Brooks, is set to hold talks with Dana White on Saturday when he attends UFC 218 in Detroit.
The 39-year-old has not fought for over a year after suffering a humiliating in September 2016.
That crushing setback led to massive speculation that the veteran would quit MMA and come back to wrestling.
However, does not appear to be any nearer to settling his issues with WWE chiefs.
Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Adam Hill says White said: "CM Punk is coming to Detroit and wants to talk to me. I love the guy. We'll see what he's doing."
Punk and White could discuss a potential second fight for him inside the Octagon.

But the grappler's reputation took a huge hit when he submitted to Gall's rear naked choke inside two minutes on his UFC bow and he is unlikely to earn the same fee of £375,000 that he did on his debut.
His trainer, Duke Roufus, has hinted that Punk was gearing up for another crack in the professional fighting business on Instagram last month.

After posting a photo of the pair together after a session, he captioned it with: "Back in #PunkCamp with my man @cmpunk #cmpunk working hard & getting better every day. Working on his next fight."
Punk was one of the most popular characters in WWE this century and wrestling fans have been desperate to see him have one more run in the company.
He reportedly left WWE due to a major fall out with owner Vince McMahon and executive Triple H over the way his character was being booked.
He quit after nine eventful years back in 2014 and it does not look like he will be stepping foot between the ropes again any time soon.
