WWE legend Kamala is on life support after undergoing emergency surgery on Sunday.
The 67-year-old, real name James Harris, was hospitalised in the early hours with his stepdaughter, Juanita James, posting updates on Facebook.
And she revealed doctors thought the Ugandan Giant, who has had both his legs amputated due to complications with diabetes, would not pull through.
She wrote: “FB friends and family please [pray] for my stepfather aka Kamala James Harris [he] had emergency surgery this morning around 3am they didn’t think he would make it out of surgery but God.
“He’s on life support. His buddy Coco B Wear is here[sic].”
It is not yet clear why Harris needed the surgery.
But James posted another update saying that her stepfather was "showing signs of improvement".
James was diagnosed with diabetes while with the WWE in 1992 and had his left leg in 2011 and his right the following year.

Most wrestling fans would remember Kamala for his feud with the Undertaker in 1992 where he was defeated at SummerSlam 1992.
He then lost again to the Phenom at Survivor Series in a casket match before leaving and joining WCW in 1995 and last wrestling in 2010.
