BRITISH WWE star Drew McIntyre is facing six months on the sidelines after tearing his bicep against Andrade "Cien" Almas.
The Scottish grappler lost his NXT championship on Saturday night after suffering the excruciating blow at the NXT Takeover event in Houston.
WWE legend Triple H, who caused controversy at last night's , confirmed that McIntyre was injured during the title match.

Speaking about his injury, McIntyre said: “I honestly don’t know. I felt something go in my arm, my bicep/elbow area... from experience, know it’s probably not good, but I won’t know anything official until I talk to the doctor.
“I won’t make any excuses. It was a heck of a match tonight.
“And if it doesn’t turn out the way I hope it does, you know, you’re only as good as your last match.
“No matter what happens, I’m coming back, and I’m coming for my NXT title - unfinished business there. But right now, I’ve just got to deal with this.”

McIntyre is due to undergo an MRI scan to determine to full extent of the damage.
It is a bitter blow for the performer after his dramatic WWE return earlier this year following a underwhelming spell with the company that previously ended in 2014.

After his release he rebuilt his reputation on the independent circuit and quickly captured the NXT title after his comeback.
It remains to be seen whether he will go straight onto the Raw on SmackDown rosters following his rehabilitation or whether he will continue in the development programme NXT and attempt to regain his belt.
