Meet Ellyse Perry, the model Australian cricket star on and off the pitch who terrorised England with bat and ball during the Ashes

HOW many of us can brag about scoring a World Cup quarter-final goal or scoring a Ashes test match 200? There's not too many.

But Ellyse Perry, the golden girl of Australia, has done both, becoming one of the greatest sportsman of not only this era, but of all time.

Last month, at the North Sydney Oval, the 27-year-old put on a show as she thundered her way to a double hundred against England.

She also took three wickets during the match, terrorising the tourists with both bat and ball in the single women's Ashes test.

But that's just where her accomplishments start, having excelled in football for her country during her twilight teenage years.

She made her debut for Australia's soccer side at the tender age of just 16, less than two weeks after making her international cricket bow.

Perry is a special breed of sportswoman, who can do anything on the field.

She can take wickets with her fast-pace bowling or score runs with ease.

During the 2011 Women's World Cup in Germany, while playing as a defender, she netted as Australia were beaten 3-1 by Sweden.

She has since been forced to choose between the two disciplines, with both having turned professional in recent years.

And Perry decided to continue her cricketing career, helping the Aussies to win the Ashes.

While mastering sport on the pitch, she is just as a success off it.

Perry has been studying economic and social sciences at the University of Sydney.

She is also an underwear model, having appeared in a photoshoot for top designer label Jockey.

Perry is also an author, having penned a number of children's books over the years, along with having her own radio sport show segment.

She married Leicester Tigers and Australian international rugby ace Matt Toomua in December 2015.
