The pair were introduced to each other by a mutual friend.
After hitting it off at a party in New York in 2012, their relationship began to flourish.
Faryal was just 19-years-old when the pair started dating and she wed Amir just a year later.
The 2013 New York ceremony was a lavish affair and was followed by a second celebration in the UK with 4,000 guests.

Amir Khan allegedly slept with beautician Sophia Hammani, 22, on May 10, 2018 - just 17 days after his wife gave birth to their daughter Alayna.

The boxer slammed the claims on Twitter saying, "What total nonsense!
"She was wanting a pic but was told to leave by security due to her being too drunk. IMO that's the reason she sold a story.

In light of the most recent cheating allegations, Amir's wife Faryal has unfollowed him on Instagram.

The couple briefly split in August 2017, when explosive tweets from Amir Khan's Twitter account claimed he has split from wife.
The sportsman even accused her of cheating on him with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua.
The initial tweet on the boxer’s account read: “So me and the wife Faryal have agreed to split. I’m currently in Dubai. Wish her all the best.”
After a brief meeting at the couple's marital home in Bolton, model Faryal hit back, accusing him of being the unfaithful party as the pair’s relationship breakdown played out on social media.
However they appeared to have reconciled after posting a loved-up Instagram pic.

In November 2017, it was reported that the couple had managed to set aside their differences.
Amir Khan revealed he is back with pregnant wife Faryal Makhdoom by posting a cute snap of the pair cuddling up together.
The boxer's social media post followed Faryal being spotted out and about in Bolton wearing her wedding ring.
As well as this, they recently shared a touching photo with their daughter, which initially sparked rumours they were back on.

The couple have two children, son Lamaisah and daughter Alayna.
