Controversial Golovkin vs Canelo judge Adalaide Byrd resume judging duties on Mayweather Promotions show this weekend
CONTROVERSIAL Adalaide Byrd will resume boxing judging this weekend after her questionable scoring in favour of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez against Gennady Golovkin.
She is penned in to work a Mayweather Promotions show on Saturday.
Bryd sparked worldwide furore when it was revealed she had awarded 118-110 scorecard in favour of Canelo in last month's showdown with middleweight champion Triple G.
That forced the bout to end in a draw at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with the other judges scoring it 114-114 and a 115-113 win for Golovkin.
Despite reports to the contrary, executive director of the Nevada Athletic Commission Bob Bennett confirmed that she was not under any form of suspension.
"She’s not on suspension,” Bennett said to the Las Vegas Review Journal.
"We’ve re-watched the fight together and we went over her scorecard.
"We decided it would be best if she took a break. We’re expecting her back soon."

Although Byrd was stood down from her role she is now set for a return just weeks later.
Byrd, who has issued a controversial scorecard on several occasions throughout her career, even came in for criticism from Canelo's own promoter.

Oscar De La Hoya blasted her view of the fight - which she had awarded only two rounds to Golovkin.
Byrd's comeback to ringside this Saturday night does not necessarily mean that she will return to judge boxing's biggest matches again.
Bennett said: "That’s undecided at this point. It was one bad night. We want her to be OK mentally and then we’ll move on."
