Man United ace Henrikh Mkhitaryan set to have access-all-areas film released about his life

The 60-minute programme will show the former Borussia Dortmund star's journey from the streets to the highest level of football

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN is the subject of a new film that shows his incredible journey from the streets to the stadiums.

The 60-minute access-all-areas programme has been produced by MUTV's award-winning documentaries team.

"Micki: An Armenian Hero'"will be launched soon on MUTV and fans can subscribe on the club website.

The film will cut no corners and will include the catastrophic death of his 33-year-old father, Hamlet.

It had always been the 28-year-old's dream to follow in his fathers footsteps by becoming a professional footballer.

He now plays as a midfielder for Premier League giants Manchester United and captains the Armenia national team.

Mkhitaryan has been named Armenia Footballer of the Year seven times and is continuing to flourish under the management of Jose Mourinho.

He started his career at FC Pyunik at just 17-years-old, before moving on to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2010.

Following a spell with Borussia Dortmund, he completed a switch to the Red Devils for a fee reported to be around £30million.

This made him the first Armenian in history to join a Premier League club and he is now regarded locally as 'The Pride of Armenia'.
