WWE TLC results: Kurt Angle wows as Roman Reign’s Shield replacement in main event win against The Miz, Braun Strowman, Kane, Sheamus and Cesaro

Angle showed he still has what it takes after being drafted in with just two days to prepare for his WWE in-ring return

KURT ANGLE showed he is still at the top of his game after helping the Shield defeat the five-man team of The Miz, Braun Strowman, Kane, Shemaus and Cesaro.

The Olympic Gold medallist was thought to be months away from an in-ring return after rejoining the company to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

He then became the Raw general manager but was drafted in to replace Roman Reigns in the main event.

Reigns and Bray Wyatt were two superstars struck down with what is rumoured to be meningitis just two days before the show.

But Angle delivered an amazing performance to keep him with the younger guys and helped the get the win after delivering an Olympic Shield Bomb to The Miz.

And fans were quick to take to social media to show their amazement at the 54-year-old's return.

AJ Styles was drafted over from SmackDown Live to face Demon King Fin Balor after Bray Wyatt had to be pulled from the show.

And it looks like the win for Balor could mean he will be moved into the Universal championship scene once again.

In an entertaining match with some high-risk moves, Balor was able to dropkick Styles into the corner after a failed 450 splash.

Balor then hit the Coup de Grace and got the three-count before Styles and Balor raise "too sweets" in the middle ring to show respect between the two former Bullet Club members.

The only title change of the event saw Enzo Amore regain the cruiserweight title against Kalisto in another controversial moment.

Enzo used a thumb to the eye to get the three count leaving Kalisto in a fit of anger.

Alexa Bliss retained against Mickie James with a DDT but the veteran vowed to compete for her seventh women's title again.

Asuka could be next up to challenge Bliss after winning her Raw debut match against Emma.
