Tyson Fury blasts back at rival Anthony Joshua and insists he will ‘beat the bully’ ahead of showdown next year
The Gypsy King has declared that he will adopt a 'Muhammad Ali' style to defeat the 28-year-old world heavyweight champion
TYSON FURY has brutally responded to Anthony Joshua's promise to defeat him when the two fighters meet next year.
The 29-year-old has declared that he will adopt a 'Muhammad Ali' style to defeat the heavyweight champion.
Joshua told TalkSport that he will fight Tyson Fury next year and beat him using the savage style of Mike Tyson.
The Watford-born star said: “The way to beat Tyson Fury is like a Mike Tyson style, but you need a lot of energy and you need to be fit and strong.”
Fury was quick to tweet a response to the 28-year-old: “If @anthonyfjoshua adopts the @MikeTyson style vs me I'll adopt the @MuhammadAli style that's coming back after years out& beating the bully”.
However, Fury is still waiting to face a UK Anti-Doping charge for the alleged use of a disallowed substance before he can reignite his career in the ring.
However, last week he revealed that he will be ready to fight in April 2018 and has three planned bouts for next year.
Fury, who boasts 715,000 Twitter followers, posted: "Be ready to fight in April 2018 in a great fight! & again in the summer in a mega fight! & again in back end of year. 3 big fights in 2018."
Joshua was quick to confirm that he will fight Fury, and he will 'knock him out'.
IBF, WBA and IBO heavyweight champion Joshua is set to fight Carlos Takam next weekend after Kubrat Pulev pulled out with a shoulder injury.
Joshua has said that he wants to help Fury get back to boxing as the sport needs people like him.
The Gypsy King stunned the world by defeating Wladimir Klitschko in his own backyard, before walking away from a £10million rematch because of injury and substance abuse.
He spiralled into a tragic blur of depression, drug abuse and obesity that left fans fearing for his future.
However, Joshua needs to beat Fury to become the lineal king and cement his spot at the top of heavyweight boxing.
