WWE latest news: UFC star Ronda Rousey teases wrestling move and admits ‘I don’t wanna ruin anything’ when asked if she’s joining Vince McMahon’s company
Ex-champ drops another hint she is swapping the octagon for the ring when quizzed over future... and she could be joined by husband Travis Browne
RONDA ROUSEY is still not giving anything away regarding her future – but she dropped a huge hint over the prospect of her joining WWE.
The UFC superstar has long-been rumoured to be swapping the octagon for the ring.
She fuelled speculation about that move when she recently appeared on WWE programming alongside some of her fellow MMA friends and was confronted by Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Bayley.
That led to speculation that she was due to make her debut at Survivor Series alongside Shayna Bazsler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir against WWE‘s Four Horsewomen – leading to a WrestleMania feud with Charlotte.
And last week WWE chief Stephanie McMahon told the former UFC champ that “the offer still stands” to join the global sports entertainment company.
Rousey herself has remained tight-lipped on the subject – but she seemed to suggest that something was happening between her and the wrestling when quizzed by .
She replied: “If you were a real fan, would you really wanna know?
“I enjoy it more that way, and I don’t wanna ruin anything.”
And she could even find herself joined by her husband and fellow cage fighter Travis Browne.
He admitted: “We’re still making decisions on my part… I’m not gonna say no!”
Rousey, 30, famously appeared at WrestleMania several years ago and confronted Stephanie and her husband Triple H alongside The Rock in the ring.
She sent both leaders of the then Authority tumbling with an arm bar, receiving a huge reaction from the crowd.
The star has already trained at WWE’s performance centre in Florida and has made no secret of her happiness at seeing the increased platform given the female wrestlers over recent years.
She said: “It’s been great to watch the role of women really evolve over the past few years, it’s really encouraging.
“A lot of progress has been made but, as a lot of industries, I’m excited to be here to watch it happen.”
