Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rejects interest from Manchester City and insists he’d rather go to China
BORUSSIA DORTMUND talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has confirmed that he is not interested in a transfer to Manchester City.
The 28-year-old considered a move to the Chinese Super League over the summer, despite interest from a host of Premier League clubs.
However, the Gabon captain opted to stick with the German champions and he appears content with his decision.
Aubameyang told TF1's 'Telefoot': "Manchester City? In fact, I've never been attracted to Premier League. This is a personal opinion.
"I thought about China, which seems, but it still lacks professionalism, unfortunately.
"I'm very happy to have stayed in Dortmund. It's like a family to me."
The 28-year-old joined BVB in 2013 on a five-year contract after spending two years with French giants Saint-Etienne.
Real Madrid, PSG and AC Milan also indicated a keen interest in the striker, but he was not tempted by a summer switch.
However, he did confess that he would have made the same choice as former team-mate Ousmane Dembele if confronted with the chance to join Barcelona.
The Gabon international added: "I don't know what will happen at the end of the season."
Aubameyang has been one of the game's most sought after strikers for a while now, but he shot to prominence last term with 40 goals in all competitions for Peter Bosz's side.
He has kicked this term's campaign off in similar style, with 8 goals already marking him as the Bundesliga top scorer.
The summer transfer window was one the craziest we have ever seen.
