The United legend shared the photo to his whopping 40.3million Instagram followers.

He labelled Mourinho ‘The Boss’ in the caption and tagged his social media profile in the post.

Beckham watched the Reds from the comfort of the directors box at Old Trafford – alongside former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 42-year-old football icon was also pictured with Calum Best and Games of Thrones actor John Bradley at the Theatre of Dreams.

An early strike from Juan Mata kicked off proceedings on Saturday against the Eagles, followed by a brace from Marouane Fellaini and another from on-form Romelu Lukaku.

Mourinho’s side are now level on points with Premier League table toppers Manchester City, but Pep Guardiola’s side remain ahead on goal difference.

The former Chelsea chief endured a torrid first term with the Reds and finished at an underwhelming sixth position in the top-flight.

However, after kicking off the new campaign in blistering fashion, the Reds have been dubbed as early favourites to contend for the title.

Beckham was welcomed by the Portuguese boss to take the photo, but this is not always the case when it comes to Mourinho.

He refused to take a selfie with a United fan on Wednesday and then had security staff kick her and others out of the Radisson hotel lobby.
