Troubled Tyson Fury helped out of nightclub ‘barely able to walk’ after partying hard in Manchester

Ex-heavyweight champion had watched his cousin Hughie's defeat to Joseph Parker earlier in the weekend

TYSON FURY had to be helped out of a nightclub by pals 'barely able to walk' after partying hard with fans in Manchester on Sunday night.

The fallen heavyweight champ, who is currently banned from boxing, was out on the town after watching his cousin Hughie's failed world title bid on Saturday.

Fury, who has ballooned to more than 25 stone, was filmed by revellers leaving Manchester's trendy Neighbourhood nightclub, in the early hours of Monday morning.

Dressed in a black t-shirt, the undefeated star, appeared to be the worse for wear as he clung to one of two pals he had been sitting with.

Earlier in the evening, he had been chatting to fans and posing for pictures at the nightspot, a favourite haunt among footballers and celebrities.

But a clubber told The Sun: "When he arrived he looked fine and was posing with people.

"But, when he moved downstairs into the VIP section, he seemed to change, my other half nudged me to look over and he could barely keep it together.

"It was a real shame.

"I went over to ask if I could get a photo with him but the two blokes that seemed to be looking after him said no and were laughing about the state he was in.

"Then, when he got up to leave, he could barely stand and had to be helped out.

"It looked like he had been on a two-day bender as I had seen pictures of him wearing the same stuff after the fight on Saturday and by Sunday night his jeans were all ripped."

Earlier in the evening Tyson had been ringside to watch his cousin Hughie lose on a points decision to New Zealander Joseph Parker for the WBO World Heavyweight title.

Fury's last fight was in November 2015 when he stunned the sporting world by beating Wladimir Klitschko.

The shock win should have sparked an era of dominance for the fighter but it was the start of a tragic downward spiral.

The IBF cruelly stripped him of his hard-earned crown - for agreeing to a Klitschko rematch instead of defending their belt against a mandatory challenger – just nine days after the triumph.

Then the United Kingdom Anti-Doping agency claimed Fury failed a test that was taken before the fight.

Astonishingly, the hearing has been delayed and STILL hangs over him.

Then, in October 2016, Tyson had to hand in his WBA and WBO titles – though he remains the undefeated king - and the BBBofC revoked his licence to effectively end his career.

Just last week, Fury issued a social media plea for the governing body to address his case ASAP and free him from the limbo he finds himself in.

And his close pal and WBO middleweight champion, Billy Joe Saunders said the BBBofC will have blood on their hands if Fury harms himself while he is blocked from competing in the sport he loves.

Saunders said: “At one stage, I was a bit worried about him.

"He was talking about suicide on the phone. I had to give him a wake-up call.

"Thank God, the last eight months he has seen a light at the end of the tunnel, he has seen hope, he has overcome all that.

“He has really knuckled down, he has lost two stone, he is mentally in a good place and if anything happens with Tyson's life I will be blaming the British Boxing Board of Control because boxing is his life.

“He doesn't know how to do anything else. He can’t go and get a normal job."

Inside the ring is where Fury looks most comfortable but he has struggled to find the balance between showman and shambles outside the ropes.

The kind-hearted giant travelled out to Euro 2016 to party where he bought rounds of shots for England fans but he has also admitted to using cocaine to handle his bouts of depression.

Unlike superstar Anthony Joshua, Fury struggles for mainstream appeal and marketability due to some extreme Old-Testament views he has aired about women and homosexuality in the past.

Fury has had to handle the sight of AJ not only gobbling up some of the belts he dropped but also becoming the darling of the sport, especially in the UK.

And it has driven him to some wild nights that have not helped with his case to get his licence back.

SunSport has approached a member of Team Fury for comment.
