Jessica Ennis-Hill announces birth of second child Olivia with touching Instagram snap
Olympic hero already has a son, three-year-old Reggie who was pictured holding hands with his new sister
DAME Jessica Ennis-Hill has had a baby daughter.
The Olympic hero posted a touching snap of Olivia holding hands with her three-year-old son Reggie on Instagram on Sunday night.
The 31-year-old wrote: "Reggie meeting his beautiful baby sister Olivia Ennis-Hill, she was born Saturday night.
"We are all so in love with her."
Ennis-Hill and husband of four years Andy Hill, a construction manager, have also plumped for a rather popular name.
Olivia was revealed as the most popular name for girls in England and Wales in 2016.
Ennis-Hill retired from a glittering athletics career last September.
The heptathlete is one of Britain's most successful track athletes ever.
She added: "I do think more sportswomen feel they can come back now.
"Now seeing more and more women do it from different sports will hopefully have a knock on effect.
"I’m sure Serena will come back and be an incredible athlete after she has given birth.
"But I couldn’t do it with two children."
The Sheffield-born star also said at the time that she hoped the birth of Olivia would be less painful than Reggie.
"I had never experienced pain that horrendous," said Ennis-Hill.
"You just can’t be prepared for it at all.
"But everyone says the second one is a bit easier. I’m hoping that’s the case."
