Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku has keys to his £250,000 Rolls Royce stolen from his Mercedes at airport car park
An 18-year-old pleaded guilty to having the key fob, but police still don't know who broke into the footballer's car
FOOTIE star Romelu Lukaku had the keys to his £250,000 Rolls Royce stolen from his Mercedes at an airport car park.
The £75million Manchester United striker, 24, left his £100,000 Merc at Manchester airport before flying out to play for Belgium last month.
Details emerged at Manchester magistrates’ court where Kelsey Winder, 18, admitted handling stolen goods.
He also pleaded guilty to theft from another motor vehicle, going equipped for theft and having a folding lock-knife.
Prosecutor Steve Woodman said police who searched Winder also found two United season tickets and a key fob belonging to a Rolls Royce owned by Lukaku.
Winder gave no comment to police. It is not known who broke into the footballer’s car.
The student, of Wythenshawe, got a 12-month community order plus 150 hours of unpaid work and he will have a curfew between 8pm and 6am.
