WEST HAM's David Sullivan has told the club website that Slaven Bilic turned down deals for both Renato Sanches and Grzegorz Krychowiak.
The Hammers have endured a torrid start to the league, but the boss decided against adding two fresh faces to the squad.
As a result, in-demand Sanches completed a shock loan deal to Swansea with a £30m option to buy at the end of the season.
Paris Saint-Germain star Krychowiak then completed a late deal to sign for West Brom on a season-long loan deal.
Sullivan told the : "Grzegorz Krychoqiak and Renato Sanches were both offered to the manager before their switches elsewhere, but he told us that he is happy with the squad he has.
"As a board we are behind Slaven, and he believes he has the tools to turn around our form and rectify our disappointing start to the season.
"Overall Slaven is happy with the business we have done during the summer transfer window.
"We received the manager's wish-list before the window and we have managed to get the top four players on it."
The Hammers introduced a number of new faces this summer, including Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez.
Bilic failed to capture top target William Carvahlo after Sporting Lisbon left it too late to accept the Hammers bid.
Sullivan said: "It's no secret that we made a club record bid for Sporting Lisbon's William Carvahlo but unfortunately that offer was rejected a couple of weeks ago.
"Late last night Sporting Lisbon made contact to accept the original offer, but unfortunately it was just too late in the day, and we simply did not have enough time to put the player through a medical."
