The former Olympic swimmer is no stranger to competition as she will battle it out on the Panama based show. Here's her story...
What did Sharron Davies win?
Davies has represented Great Britain at the Olympics and European championships as well as competing for England at the Commonwealth Games.
She won silver at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow in the 400-metre individual medley.
As well as winning two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in 1978.
When did she retire?
Davies initially retired at the age of just 18 before returning to the sport nine years later.
She then eventually retired for good in 1994.
Davies is now a patron of the Disabled Sport England and the Sports Aid Foundation.
What records did she break?
During her career, Sharron broke a staggering 200 British records, with some still standing today.
She also set five World Masters records during her spectacular career.
To cap off her commitment to sport, the Queen awarded her an MBE.
What other TV shows has she been in?
Davies has featured on TV on countless occasions and she starred on ITV's Gladiators as Amazon after joining in 1995 - but she was forced to leave the show due to a knee injury.
She also appears regularly as a commentator on the BBC for swimming events.
Davies has gone on to commentate at the 2008 Olympic games as well as the London Olympics handover party.
She also worked at the 2016 Olympic Games in 2016 along with fellow stars Helen Skelton, Rebecca Adlington and Mark Foster.
She also was a contestant on Dancing on Ice and was elimated in the seventh week of the series in 2010.
What is Celebrity Island and when is it on TV?
A total of 10 celebs, including Towie's Lucy Mecklenburgh and Corrie's Ryan Thomas, spend a few weeks stranded on an island in Panama for the new series of Bear Grylls' show.
Welsh sprinter Iwan Thomas, TV doctor Sara Kayat, Breaking Bad star RJ Mitte, comedian Mark Watson, Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton, Jordan Stephens from Rizzle Kicks and actress Shazia Mirza are all taking part in the new series of Celebrity Island.
The show returned to Channel 4 on August 29.
