Monaco set to make bid for Leicester star Islam Slimani if wonderkid Kylian Mbappe leaves for Paris Saint-Germain
Algerian striker is in high demand this summer as French club are set to make their approach with Premier League rivals also interested
AS MONACO have lined up Leicester striker Islam Slimani if Kylian Mbappe is sold to Paris Saint-Germain.
The saga of the French wonder kid continues as Monaco make plans to replace the 18-year-old.
Mbappe is expected to join PSG in the next 72 hours in which the deal is based on AS Monaco making an official approach for Slimani.
Islam Slimani joined Leicester City from Sporting Lisbon last summer for £29million.
However the 29-year-old Algerian has also attracted interest from the Foxes Premier League rivals Watford and Newcastle.
Slimani has come off the bench twice this season to make appearances for Leicester.
The Algerian striker also scored twice in Leicester's 4-1 win over Sheffield United last week in the Carabao Cup.
Despite scoring seven Premier League goals in his first season in England, Slimani has not managed to secure a place every week in Craig Shakespeare's starting XI.
