Conor McGregor set to ‘propose to his girlfriend Dee Devlin and wants the biggest wedding Dublin has ever seen’
CONOR McGregor is set to propose to his girlfriend Dee Devlin next year, pals have revealed.
The cage fighting champ, 28, is expected to swap rings again after his £500million boxing match against Floyd Mayweather.
Pals say he is set to pop the question next year and he wants the biggest wedding Dublin has ever seen.
One told the : "Word is 2018 is when he’ll take the plunge.”
The couple, who have been dating for eight years and have a baby boy, could tie the knot as early as next summer.
McGregor's pal added: “The last few years have been all about his career and becoming a family.
"The Mayweather fight has taken up much of his time this year, but he’s taking a break after it.
“It’ll be the biggest wedding Dublin has seen. Conor doesn’t do things by halves.
"All he has to do now is pop the question.”
It comes after following the birth of his son Conor Jr.
The Notorious is just days away from his date with destiny as he attempts to end 40-year-old Mayweather's unbeaten boxing record.
And McGregor believes that becoming a parent has only enhanced his ability in the cage or ring, in a warning for Mayweather.
Speaking to Eurosport in Las Vegas, McGregor said: “Fatherhood is such an amazing thing, because it made me just realise what’s important.
“If anything, I feel the pressure is off my shoulders even more so.
"It’s been beautiful and an eye-opening experience.
"As a fighter I’m a little more ruthless maybe, a little bit more certain and a little bit more dangerous — if I am being honest — because there is another one I am fighting for."
McGregor and his partner Dee welcomed their son into the world early May, which prompted the UFC two-weight champ to take a break from fighting.
