WAYNE ROONEY made Hajduk Split star Josip Radosevic’s night by giving him his shirt – only to snub him seconds later.
After receiving Roo’s Toffees’ jersey, the Croatian international was trying to return the favour.
But the ex-Manchester United skipper did not wait for him to take his top off and walked away, as Radosevic turned away disappointed.
The £45million playmaker struck with an 50-yard effort in his first start for his new club.
Ronald Koeman’s team fell behind to a 35-yard stunner from Radosevic before the break that left the tie on a knife edge.
But Sigurdsson’s striker just after the break killed Hajduk’s momentum and Everton saw out the rest of the game comfortably.
Rooney had a chance to net his 40th goal in European competition but was denied by Split stopper Dante Stipica.
He will get a chance to crack the milestone in the group stages after bringing up his 200th league goal last weekend.
Koeman’s team are now unbeaten in six games this season and hardly have time to catch their breath before travelling to Champions Chelsea on Sunday lunchtime.
