How old is Carl Froch and who is his partner?

Known as 'The Cobra', Carl Froch was one of the UK's most successful fighters in recent times, and finished his illustrious career with 33 careers wins from 35 bouts.

He was born in Nottingham on July 2, 1977, and remains a committed Nottingham Forest fan.

Most famous for his bruising Wembley Stadium win over George Groves in 2013, Froch held four world championships at super-middleweight.

Famed for his remarkable chin, he was knocked down just TWICE in his career, never losing by knockout.

Froch proposed to his long-term glamour model girlfriend Rachael Cordingley following his second victory over Groves in 2015.

The couple have three young children together, welcoming their most recent arrival in 2015.

When did he retire?

Following his brilliant win over George Groves in 2014, Froch chose to hang up the gloves as unified super-middleweight champion the following year in July 2015.

He had beaten Groves in a brilliant bout in November 2013 at the Manchester Arena but took him apart at Wembley.

His final punch which sent Groves to the canvass was voted 'Knockout of the Year 2014'.

In March 2018, Froch sensationally vowed to return to the ring to fight the winner of a World Boxing Super Series bout between Groves and Callum Smith.
