Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather: UFC star warns boxer he will come face-to-face with 170lbs gorilla ready to ‘rip his head off and play football with it’

CONOR MCGREGOR has warned Floyd Mayweather that he will be a 170lbs gorilla on Saturday night, ready and willing to “rip his head off and play football with it”.

The Irish UFC sensation is facing the Money Man at 154lbs but, after their final weigh-in, Mystic Mac has vowed to rehydrate his tattooed body to the hulking size.

And the Notorious One believes veteran Mayweather’s sparring partners at his Dog House gym are not preparing him properly for the onslaught he will face.

McGregor told ShowTime: “If there's ever a contest to be motivated by this is the one.

“Not a chance, not a hope, he's not going to land a glove, he's going to get embarrassed, he's going to get killed.

“My whole career, I am always told - I can't do this - I can't do that, I feel when someone tells you you can't do something that's when you must do something.

“He's sparring 135 lbs kids, you think I'm a 135 lbs kid? I'm a 170 lbs Irish gorilla and I am going to rip his head off and play football with it.

“You're seeing an animal come in here and destroy the whole game.”

👊McGregor v Mayweather Tips: 12/1 beast👊

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is no KO machine.

His last knockout victim was Victor Ortiz in 2011 but that was shrouded in controversy. Before that, he previous victim had been Ricky Hatton in 2011.

So even though we expect this fight to be one-sided, it will not end straight away.

Mayweather will toy with the inexperienced McGregor and we love Sun Bets' 12/1 that Money wins it in the fifth.

McGregor has a reputation for flashy motors, garish clothes and partying but his work ethic behind the scenes is fierce.

Pretty Boy Floyd has told fans he will be partying at his La Vegas strip club Girl Collection throughout fight week and visiting roller discos.

But the UFC star believes the 49-0 legend is playing with the public and pretending to be throwing away valuable preparation time.

He said: “It's amusing to me to see a 40-year-old man acting that way.

“Floyd at the beach club, at the strip club, what's that b*******?

“He's going roller skating at the roller disco.

“I don't believe that he's not working, I believe he's putting in work.”

McGregor’s giant size come Saturday will be a huge advantage when the two fighters collide close-up in the clinch.

The Dublin hero can grapple with the boxer, as well as entwining arms to pull and wrench at his elbow and shoulder joints.

And McGregor’s genius coach John Kavanagh posted a picture and a playful hint – to get under Floyd’s skin – about some rough-house tactics coming his way.

The MMA coach said: “This technique is designed to rupture the major collateral ligaments in the elbow joint.

“It is powerful enough to cause an avulsion fracture. Luckily for FM [Floyd Mayweather] he does not have to worry about this next Saturday. Or does he?"
