But the England international's future has been left in limbo with the Blues turning their transfer attentions elsewhere.

According to the , the Foxes are demanding £30m for the 27-year-old in today's inflated market.

Drinkwater is reportedly keen to hold talks with the Premier League champions but won't push for an exit from Leicester.

Despite Chelsea's Premier League campaign getting underway at home to Burnley on Saturday, Conte will not be rushed into making a panic buy with the window shutting at the end of the month.

It has been an infuriating window for the Italian gaffer having lost a string of key players.

Chelsea remain desperate to sign another midfielder following the departure of Nemanja Matic.
