Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather: Vasyl Lomachenko offers to spar with McGregor ahead of billion-dollar Las Vegas superfight
VASYL LOMACHENKO has offered his sparring services to Conor McGregor for his bout against Floyd Mayweather on August 26 in Las Vegas.
The WBO super featherweight champion successfully defended his belt at the weekend, when he brutally stopped Miguel Mariagga in the seventh round.
And now, following Paulie Malignaggi's well-publicised fall-out with McGregor that saw him quit the sparring sessions, Lomachenko has thrown his hat into the ring.
Lomachenko wrote to McGregor on Twitter: "Need another sparring partner to test your skills against," before adding a telephone emoji.
Should McGregor take the Ukrainian up on his offer, Lomachenko will be replacing Malignaggi who recently quit The Notorious' camp after feeling he was "set-up" when an image was posted online showing him on the floor during a session.
The retired Brooklyn boxer was left fuming that it was made out that he was dropped by McGregor.
Lomachenko, known as High-Tech because of his very eye-catchy TV friendly style has won 396 of his amateur fights and only lost once.
With his one loss, he came back avenged it twice. He then won gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
