LECIESTER have signed sign Coventry and Wales whizkid George Thomas in a potential bargain.
The Under-20 international striker is one of the hottest properties in Britain and was available on the cheap after his contract had run out.
Thomas - who scored seven goals last season - will cost the Foxes just £450,000 in compensation plus add-ons.
He has signed a three-year deal with the former Premier League champions, who will hope to have another Jamie Vardy on their hands.
The 20-year-old made his first-team debut in 2014 aged just 16 and went on to establish himself at the Ricoh Arena.
In May, Thomas scored a stunning winner as the Sky Blues beat Oxford to win the EFL trophy at Wembley.
The Dragons youngster spent the summer at the Toulon Tournament, where he bagged an impressive brace in a 2-2 draw with the Ivory Coast.
Announcing the departure, Sky Blues boss Mark Robins said: "We are disappointed George has come to this decision.
"He is a fantastic lad and everyone associated with Coventry City wish him all the very best.
"Hopefully our paths can cross again at some point in the future."
