Liverpool transfer news: Neymar’s PSG switch opens door for Reds to fight Roma for Lucas Moura
Brazil team-mates reportedly do not get on off the field and Moura is on the market after being left out of squad for Ligue 1 opener
NEYMAR'S world-record Paris Saint-Germain switch has opened the door for Liverpool to sign Lucas Moura, according to reports.
The Brazilian's arrival will see boss Unai Emery shuffle his squad to accommodate the £198million superstar.
And claim Lucas is at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between the Reds and Roma.
Emery left the attacking midfielder out of his squad for win over Amiens in their Ligue 1 opener.
And the snub comes on the back of reports that Neymar tried to convince his new club to ditch his international team-mate in favour of Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazil star is the same age as Coutinho and enjoys a close bond, as he does with fellow signing Dani Alves.
But he does not enjoy the same relationship with Lucas, 24, who arrived in Paris from Sao Paulo in 2013.
Barcelona are chasing a £90m deal for Coutinho and the playmaker is ready to leave Anfield for a new challenge.
The Reds could swoop for Lucas as a ready-made replacement, with PSG needing to sell players to balance the books.
But Roma - who allowed Mohamed Salah to move to Anfield this summer - are also in the market for a winger and have cash to spend from Liverpool's club-record signing.
