Arsenal ace Mohamed Elneny vows to fight for his Gunners place as Leicester eye £10m summer swoop
Egypt midfielder has struggled to establish himself following a £5m move from Basel 18 months ago
MOHAMED ELNENY has shot down reports he will leave Arsenal this summer.
The Egypt midfielder has struggled to establish himself following a £5million move from Basel 18 months ago.
Leicester made a £10m bid for Elneny last month, while Turks Galatasaray are also keen on the 25-year-old.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said he plans to slim down his squad following the Community Shield win over Chelsea on Sunday.
But Elneny, who impressed as Arsenal won 4-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw, insisted he will not leave the Emirates any time soon.
He said: "I am staying at Arsenal this season.
"There has been a lot of criticism recently, and I wanted to prove that I deserve to play for a big team like Arsenal.
"That was my best game for them.
