CHELSEA have announced Alliance Tyres as their first-ever sleeve sponsor ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

In addition to the main sponsor on the front of their shirts, Premier league clubs will now be sporting extra branding on the sleeve of the shirts.

Antonio Conte's side proudly gave their freshly-sponsored kit a run out in Beijing when the Blues regained bragging over rights over London rivals Arsenal.

The brand of tyres is produced by the club's principal shirt sponsor Yokohama Tyres.

Alliance Tyres was launched earlier this year in Europe.

Chelsea's commercial director Chris Townsend said: "We are delighted to be able to further expand our partnership with The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. by helping to promote their Alliance Tyres brand to a global audience.

"Yokohama is a premium tyre brand which manufactures a range of innovative products and their business has gone from strength to strength since our partnership began in 2015.

"We look forward to continuing to help grow their wider business through the inclusion of the Alliance Tyres branding."

Chelsea are not the first top-flight club to announce sleeve-sponsorship ahead of the new term.

Manchester City, Watford, Southampton, Swansea, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Huddersfield and Stoke have also all announced extra sponsorship.

The new logo will appear on the left arm of Chelsea's new 2017-18 jersey, with the Premier League badge stamped on the right sleeve.
