Conor McGregor’s camp deny claims he was knocked out during sparring ahead of Floyd Mayweather mega-bout
First it was believed the person who did that was Bradley Wheeler, then Brandon Rios - but neither have even sparred with McGregor
CONOR MCGREGOR was NOT knocked out in a sparring session ahead of his boxing blockbuster against Floyd Mayweather.
That's according to his management team, who have responded to reports over the weekend that Conor tasted canvas.
Former two-weight world champion Jessie Vargas allegedly claimed that The Notorious was KOd in training, and it was believed that this could have been by MMA fighter Bradley Wheeler.
But recent developments have pointed towards the person in question who supposedly dropped McGregor to be lightweight boxer Brandon Rios.
However McGregor's team have laughed off the rumours, insisting that neither have even trained with McGregor, let alone knocked him down.
reports his team as saying: "The guy mentioned by Jessie Vargas is Brandon Rios, not Brad Wheeler.
"Neither have sparred with Conor."
This has been confirmed by Rios himself, who told , surprisingly, that he doesn't even know who McGregor is.

SunSport reported earlier today how Mayweather himself does not believe McGregor was knocked out.
He told : “Me and Jesse Vargas are in communication. Everything is rumours until I see it, I have to see it with my own eyes.”
Vargas isn’t the first fight to make such claims about McGregor, with Chris van Heerden revealing he went six rounds with the UFC champ and “was not fazed at all.”
💎McGregor v Mayweather Tips: 11/10 Diamond💎
CONOR McGREGOR is used to 15-minute fights in the UFC and he will not go the distance.
Sun Bets go 11/10 that there will be fewer than nine completed rounds.
That is an extraordinary price given that one of the fighters has never had a professional boxing fight and one has a 49-0 record.
It may be several months away but that price is only going to go one way.
