Szczesny has spent the last two seasons on-loan at Serie A rivals Roma but was told there was no future for him at the Emirates under Arsene Wenger.

And the 27-year-old is now set to play back-up to Gianluigi Buffon for the Serie A champions.

Juventus want to get the deal completed before they jet off on their pre-season tour of United States later this month.

Reports by Sky Sport Italia suggest he will complete his medical in Turin next week after agreeing a deal worth £3.5million-a-year.

Szczesny joined the Gunners in 2006 but had to wait three years to make his senior debut.

In 2011 he was promoted to Arsenal's number one but a string of high profile mistakes and a £20,000 fine for smoking in the dressing room gave Wenger no option but to drop him.

Meanwhile Arsenal may have been handed a boost in the race for Monaco's Thomas Lemar.

The 21-year-old has reportedly told the French champions that he wants to join the Premier League side this summer.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a £40m switch but Monaco are reluctant to sell having already lost winger Bernardo Silva.
