Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom to renew their wedding vows just four years into long-suffering marriage
Pair's marriage has been plagued by accusations of infidelity and his wife wants to renew their special loving bond
LOVE-RAT boxer Amir Khan is being made to renew his wedding vows by his long-suffering wife – just four years after tying the knot.
The former world champ’s marriage to Faryal Makhdoom has been plagued by allegations of his infidelity since their lavish New York ceremony in May 2013.
A string of busty models claimed to have bedded Khan, but Faryal has stood by her scandal-hit hubby.
And after seemingly burying the hatchet with his family following a vicious war of words last year, the stunning model jetted to India with Khan for a second wedding.
A source said: “Not many women would stand by their other half after one accusation of an affair – but Faryal’s faced 12 rounds of humiliation and still stood by Amir.
“However his behaviour has come at a price and in a desperate bid to save their marriage Faryal has been desperate for both of them to commit their love to each other.
“Amir’s in India on business and to promote his boxing, but they’re taking the chance to renew their lifelong commitment to each other.
“Faryal and Amir have also been very upset by the fall out between her and his family, but after celebrating Eid together they are moving on. Hopefully her trust won’t be betrayed again.”
The pair landed in Mumbai on Thursday ahead of a Sports Illustrated awards ceremony in the city.
Fashion guru Faryal uploaded several ten-second videos to her Snapchat account alongside Khan, telling her followers: “So we’re both going to >> India to get married again.”
Khan replied: “Yeah we’re doing our second marriage there.”
She also added a selfie of the duo in Dubai airport and captioned it: “Pretending like we like each other.”
American Faryal, who gave birth to their daughter Lamaisah in 2015, suggested to her followers that Khan has been tricked into misdemeanours.
She went on: “Some people asked me what annoys me most about my husband? He’s really gullible and falls for people’s s*** way too easy.
“But I’m the same I think when you’re a good person you think everyone’s a good person and you trust everyone and that’s where we go wrong.”
Last year we told how Faryal claimed to have been slapped, had a remote control hurled at her and was cropped out of photos by Khan's family.
