FALLEN Tiger Woods revealed he has completed an "intensive programme" to help him win his battle against prescription drugs.
The American golf legend, 41, was in May arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after being found asleep at the wheel of his car.
Woods was breathalysed in a Florida jail after his arrest but denies that alcohol was involved, instead claiming to have had an "unexpected reaction to prescribed medications", with the police record supporting his claim.
He promised he was receiving "professional help" for the situation, with reports claiming Woods, who is worth £572million, booked out an entire male impatient wing of a hospital.
Yesterday, he tweeted: "I recently completed an out of state private intensive program.
"I will continue to tackle this going forward with my doctors, family and friends. I am so very thankful for all of the support I've received."
Woods is due to appear in court in Palm Beach County on August 9 to answer the DUI charge, unless a deal is struck beforehand.
The golfer divorced his wife Elin Nordgren in 2010, after an explosive sex scandal which destroyed his family man image, and has 20 per cent custody of their two kids.
According to Radar, the divorce agreement states Woods could lose his custody rights if he is “caught up in a scandal”.
Last month, police released dashcam footage showing a yawning Woods struggling to stand up straight at around 2am.
Moments earlier he was found asleep at the wheel of his bashed-up £170,000 car near his home in Jupiter.
The legendary golfer, whose 14 Major championships is second only to fellow American Jack Nicklaus, was woken by officers while the engine was running.
A cop is heard telling him: “You know the reason I’m out with you right now? It’s because you’re stopped in the middle of the road.”
Woods has missed all the major tournaments for the past two years with a back injury.
The American golfer dropped to 876th in the world rankings and has not won a tournament since 2013.
He has not taken part competitively since pulling out of the Dubai Desert Classic in February after one round because of back pain.
